‘They’ve shamed my club’ – Jason Cundy slams ‘disgusting’ Chelsea fans in passionate rant after racist Mohamed Salah chant

Former Chelsea striker Jason Cundy has launched a passionate rant calling for racist Blues fans to be thrown out of his beloved club.

Chelsea supporters once again made the headlines for all the wrong reasons after a video emerged of a racist chant about Liverpool winger Mohamed Salah.

In the video, the men can be heard singing ‘Salah is a bomber’

Ahead of the club’s 1-0 victory over Slavia Prague, a group of men filmed themselves singing ‘Salah is a bomber’ in a Czech pub.

Both Chelsea and Liverpool have condemned the incident, and Cundy has echoed the sentiment of Chelsea, who called the men an ‘embarrassment’ to the club.

“What can I say? They’ve shamed my club. They’ve embarrassed my club,” the talkSPORT host told the Sports Bar.

“I’ve got to sit here on national radio and I’m not going to defend them.

“They are not welcome at my club. I can’t say what I want to say.

“They are an embarrassment, they are shameful, they’re disgusting – and I want them gone.

“People say they’re not football fans, but unfortunately they are. They’re out in Prague.

“It’s that mob mentality where football fans can behave in such a way. There’s alcohol, they’re together, they feel big and strong because they’re in a pack.

Arsenal transfer news: Gunners face summer exodus with Shkodran Mustafi, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Mesut Ozil among those up for sale

Arsenal are reportedly planning a huge summer exodus with Unai Emery keen on selling players to free up funds for incoming transfers.

The Gunners’ quest to avoid a third successive season in the Europa League took a huge hit on Sunday with their chances of a top four finish in the Premier League all but gone due to their 1-1 draw with Brighton.

Emery has big plans for the summer transfer window

Emery has big plans for the summer transfer window

Emery’s side can still overhaul Tottenham on the final day – though it is remarkably unlikely – but their real hope of qualifying for next season’s Champions League rests on winning the Europa League this term.

They are in a good position to reach the final having beaten Valencia in the first leg of their semi-final, and then the north Londoners would be just one victory away from a return to Europe’s elite competition.

Getting back to the top table of European football would improve Arsenal’s financial situation after a couple of miserly years, though missing out on the Champions League is likely to restrict Emery’s summer transfer budget to just £45million.

This figure can rise if Arsenal sell players this summer, however, and Goal report that Emery has a number of individuals he wants to get rid of.

Arsenal are already losing Petr Cech to retirement and Aaron Ramsey to Juventus at the end of the season, while it was recently confirmed Danny Welbeck will also be leaving the Emirates when his contract expires next month.

It is understood these three departures will save Arsenal more than £1million a month in wages, and Emery hopes to also sell Carl Jenkinson, Mohamed Elneny, Shkodran Mustafi and Henrikh Mkhitaryan to further reduce the club’s wage bill.

Furthermore, Mesut Ozil is also a contender to be sold, though the report claims Arsenal are aware it will be hard to get rid of the German as there is little interest in him.

Emery hopes these exits will free up the funds to bring five new players to the Emirates this summer, as he plans for his sophomore season in charge of Arsenal.

After a quiet first-half, Chelsea sparked into life when Olivier Giroud stooped low to head in the opener.

Then Hazard stole the show, setting up Pedro for the Blues’ second, before scoring from the penalty spot and linking up with Giroud for a superb second.

That looks set to be his last ever Chelsea goal – and the club have reportedly already agreed a fee with Real Madrid.

According to The Sun, Chelsea will receive £100m with a possible further £15m in add-ons, with Hazard signing a four-year deal worth a basic £400,000 a week.

However, Loftus-Cheek feels he deserved to start more games under Sarri and could wait to see how Chelsea’s transfer ban plays out, with the club expected to take their case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Fulham owner Shahid Khan apologises to supporters after Cottagers are relegated with five games remaining

Fulham owner Shahid Khan has apologised to the club’s fans after their Premier League relegation was confirmed.

The Cottagers splashed out more than Ł100millon on new players following promotion last summer but have registered just four top-flight victories and sacked two managers in what has been a dismal season to date.

Shahid Khan has apologised to Fulham supporters after their relegation was confirmed

Tuesday’s 4-1 thumping at Watford was a ninth successive defeat for the west London club and sealed their fate with five fixtures remaining.

“Our results over the past three months were as troubling for me and everyone associated with our club as I know they were for you,” said Khan in a statement.

“Last night’s outcome made official what we didn’t think would be possible in August and tried desperately to remedy and avoid as the season wore on.

“For me, that makes today the most difficult day of all.

“I am sorry that we let you down. Our goal this season was to build on what we achieved in promotion and deliver on our pledge to invest heavily in the squad, ensuring that Fulham would always compete in the Premier League and, no matter the result, never disappoint.

Claudio Ranieri lasted just 106 days in the hotseat at Craven Cottage before being axed

“That didn’t occur and, for that, we hold ourselves accountable. We will reflect, plan thoroughly and respond accordingly.”

Caretaker manager Scott Parker has overseen the last five defeats, including the thrashing at Vicarage Road, after taking over on a temporary basis following the sacking of Claudio Ranieri in February.

Former Chelsea and Leicester boss Ranieri lasted just 106 days in charge, having being appointed in November following the dismissal of promotion-winning manager Slavisa Jokanovic.

Khan reaffirmed his commitment to Fulham and promised an impending update on improvements to the club’s Craven Cottage ground.

“In the weeks ahead we will communicate further as to our vision for the future, which includes the latest progress on the Riverside Stand project that will underline my investment in your beloved club,” said the billionaire businessman, who bought the club in 2013.

“I recognise that may not be of consolation today, but I offer it nonetheless to assure you of my total commitment to Fulham Football Club.”Thank you for your faith, endurance and support.”

Interim boss Parker, meanwhile, intends to tell the Cottagers’ hierarchy the reasons for their relegation. The 38-year-old is unsure what his own future holds.

“I was put in this position and I realise where the mistakes are, what needs to change. Ultimately I’ll put my points across,” he said after losing to the Hornets.

“I’ve not honestly thought about myself (remaining as manager).

“I’m obviously gutted. I realised how big the task was and we all understood how big the task was to try to stay in this division.

“There needs to be a sit down, work out where the mistakes were made this year, work on that as quick as we can and go from there.”
