Widely regarded as a United flop given his dreadful year-and-a-half with the Red Devils, Depay is now considered one of Europe’s best attackers.

He’s scored 35 goals for the Ligue 1 outfit since joining in January 2017, also chipping in with 39 assists in just 108 matches.

The 25-year-old is reportedly ready to take another step in his career, and L’Equipe claim he sees a move back to the Premier League as the perfect way to prove himself.

And reports in the French media suggest Liverpool are keeping an eye on the former PSV forward ahead of a potential summer swoop.

Liverpool allegedly see Depay as a potential replacement for Sadio Mane, who has been linked with big-money moves to some of Europe’s biggest clubs amid a remarkable season with the Reds.

The Senegal forward has scored 20 goals in all competitions to fire Liverpool into the Premier League title race and a Champions League quarter-final, and Real Madrid are one club said to be keen on him.

Zinedine Zidane wanted the forward, 26, last summer before quitting Real, and now he is back in the Bernabeu dugout there is a real chance Los Blancos’ interest in Mane will be renewed.
